Find parks near any ZIP code

ZipParks lists the parks near a U.S. ZIP code. Type the ZIP, or tap Use my location, and you see nearby parks sorted by distance, with a link to open each one on a map.

There are two buttons at the top: All Parks and Dog Parks. All Parks shows city parks, nature areas and green space. Dog Parks narrows it down to places mapped as dog parks.

Park data comes from OpenStreetMap, the free, volunteer-made world map. Distances are straight-line miles from the middle of the ZIP code (or from you) to the middle of the park, so real walking or driving distance can be longer.

Use it to find somewhere to walk, picnic or let the kids play when you are visiting a new place, or to discover a park you never knew was close to home.

It is a free web app from Zip Code Nation. No account, no download, no learning curve: type a ZIP code and look at the list.

It runs in the web browser on an iPhone, Android phone, tablet or computer. To keep it handy, open it and use your browser's Add to Home Screen option, and it will sit on your phone like any other app.
